In every drop of Iron Smoke Whiskey there's a story of expertise and craftsmanship at the highest level. Any great story has to start somewhere, and ours begins on local, family-owned farms. Generations of farming experience ensure that every batch of Iron Smoke is crafted from the very best grain. Next we begin our apple wood smoking process, which gives our whiskey its unique and unforgettable character. With the raw materials sourced and smoked, the attention turns to the production process.
With the distillation complete, the raw spirits are left to age to perfection in triple charred virgin American white oak barrels. As each season passes by, the whiskey will develop even more complex flavors and gain its iconic amber coloring. Throughout the aging process, we sample each barrel to monitor its progress and select only the best to become Iron Smoke. Our story is all in the details and we hope it will make a great addition to your story as well.
Whole grain is finely milled and mashed to convert its starch into fermentable sugars. After a few days of fermentation, the distillation process begins. The distiller keeps a watchful eye over our copper pot still to be sure that only the highest-quality spirits are selected for aging; ever the perfectionist, each batch is distilled at least twice to purify their flavors further.
Iron Smoke is sweet to the nose with a unique smooth full-bodied flavor with the rich deepness of oak throughout the pallet and a subtle warm apple wood smoke finish.

Locally Sourced Ingredients
Distilled in New York
3 ounces Iron Smoke Whiskey
Pour over ice
Serve in rocks glasses
1 oz sweet vermouth
3 oz Iron Smoke Whiskey
1 dash bitters (We like Fee Bros from our hometown)
1 maraschino cherry
Combine the vermouth, Iron Smoke Whiskey, and bitters with 2 - 3 ice cubes in a mixing glass. Stir gently, so you don't angry the spirits and cloud the drink. Drop in a cherry and erase the day.
1 1/2 oz Iron smoke whiskey
3/4 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
3/4 oz simple syrup
3/4 oz dryer red wine (we use Malbec)
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker EXCEPT the wine. Add ice. Shake vigorously. Fine strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
Gently float red wine on top. Cheers!

4 ounces tomato juice
2 ounces Iron Smoke Whiskey
1/2 ounce lime juice
6 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
4 dashes of Liquid Smoke
5 light shakes Iron Works BBQ Rub
5 light shakes celery salt
Prepared horseradish to taste
One Slice Apple Wood Smoked Bacon, crisped
Smoked Rim Rub: 3 dashes Iron Works BBQ Rub and 3 dashes celery salt.
Wet rim of glass with juice from lime slice and dip the rim generously into the rim rub mix.
Add a liberal amount of ice. Mix all ingredients together and pour in glass.
Garnish with celery stalk and one piece of extra crispy bacon, lime wedge and let this classic hair of the dog off the porch.
6 ounces hot apple cider
2 ounces "Iron Smoke Whiskey"
Dash of apple pie spice (or dash of nutmeg)
Garnish with a cinnamon stick and fresh lemon wedge
Add Iron Smoke Whiskey to heated apple cider. Stir with a cinnamon stick. Find someone or somewhere warm and comfy and sip away.
1 part Iron Smoke Whiskey
3 parts Coke®
Serve over ice in a tall glass. Garnish with a slice of lemon.
